Mini Notebook Review

Mini Notebook ReviewAll tech products are shrinking in size. They have become portable and can be used anywhere, anytime. And computers are no exception. The earlier computers were these bulky cabinets from which they went on to become personal computers that were affordable and comparatively smaller. Then came the laptops, mini notebooks or netbooks, notebooks, tablet PCs etc. And this evolution is going so fast that your latest cutting edge notebook can get outdated in a matter of weeks. But some of them have a certain combination of features that keeps them in the game for longer times. In the following article you will find some of the best mini notebook reviews so that you can do a thorough mini notebook comparison.

Mini Notebook Computers Review

Mackbook Air (MC505LL/A)
Macbook air is a breakthrough product from Apple. It is feather light and super thin. But for a computer this small it is quite fast. The processor is the old core 2 duo but it is enough for most usual computing activities. The hard disk space is another short coming (just 64 GB) but the world is anyway moving into the Cloud and we can always use an external hard drive. The thing that I liked the most about this gadget is the design. No words to describe it. No doubt it tops the list of the best mini notebook reviews.

  • Processor: 1.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
  • RAM: 2GB of 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM onboard (4GB maximum)
  • Hard Disk: 64GB of flash storage
  • Display: 11.6-inch (diagonal) high-resolution LED-backlit glossy widescreen display, 1366-by-768
  • resolution
  • Operating System: Mac OS X Snow Leopard

Asus Eee PC 1005PE
ASUS, as we know, is the pioneer in the netbook market. The entire Eee PC 1005 series has been a huge hit. The most popular mini notebook from this series is the ASUS Eee PC 1005PE. The price and design are its prime features. It was the first to use the Atom processor. But the feature I loved the most was the battery life. It is amazing.

  • Processor: Intel® Atom™ 1.66 GHz N450 N450
  • RAM: DDR2 SO-DIMM 1GB (Maximum to 2G)
  • Hard Disk: 160 GB - 5400 rpm
  • Display: 10.1" LED Backlight WSVGA Screen (1024x600)
  • Operating System: Genuine Windows® 7 Starter

Dell Inspiron Mini 10
This new mini notebook computer from Dell sports a better battery life and the Intel Atom CPU. The new configuration is quite robust and has added flexibility that many other Netbooks from this range lack. What I loved the most about it is the better sleeker design than its previous versions.

  • Processor: Intel Atom N450
  • RAM: 1GB
  • Hard Disk Size: 160GB
  • Display: 10.1" with 1366 x 768
  • Battery Life/Type: 9.5 hours/Lithium ion
  • Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition

Acer Aspire One D260
This mini notebook from Acer is thinner and lighter than its predecessors. But the keyboard is large and so is the touch pad. Another shortcoming is the poor battery life. But to cover most of the short comings the processor is faster and gives better performance. This is one of the best notebook computers.

  • Processor: Intel Atom N450
  • RAM: 1GB
  • Hard Disk Drive: 250GB
  • Display: 10.1" with 1024 x 600
  • Battery Type/life: Lithium ion with 8 hours
  • Operating System: Windows 7 starter

Toshiba Mini NB305-N410
This netbook is built on its earlier version NB205. The Atom processor and a better design were the additions that were made. But some netbooks in the same price range and similar configuration also provide the HD display. But the thin design and battery life of Toshiba Mini is unmatched.

  • Processor: Intel Atom N450
  • RAM: 1GB
  • Hard Disk Size: 250GB
  • Display: 10.1" with 1024 X 600
  • Battery Life/Type: 11 hours/Lithium Ion
  • Operating System: Windows 7 starter

I hope you liked the above mini notebook reviews and have got all the information you wanted. The above netbook reviews are my own opinion and I have listed the technical specifications so that you can form your own opinion to buy the best for yourself.
